Why I’m Leaning Into AI (and Why You Should Too)

Updated: Aug 28

True innovation begins when we stop fearing AI and start collaborating with it.

For close to three decades, I’ve worked at the intersection of marketing, business development, and professional services. Over the years, I’ve watched the industry evolve with new technologies, fresh platforms, and shifting client expectations. But nothing has shaken things up quite like Artificial Intelligence.

When AI first began making headlines, I’ll admit—I was skeptical. With the technology moving so quickly, how could marketers keep up and still get their work done? Was this just another shiny tool destined to fade after a few hype-filled news cycles?

The more I read, tested, and experimented, the clearer it became: this isn’t a passing trend. AI is already reshaping how marketers connect with clients, position their firm’s expertise, and deliver value. A quick look at job postings shows nearly every open marketing role now requests AI experience. And yet, with technology evolving at lightning speed, the idea of becoming an “expert” can feel daunting.

That’s where I come in.

I started Partnered Intelligence because I know how intimidating this shift can feel.

What I’ve Found

AI isn’t about replacing the human expertise that defines professional services—it’s about enhancing it.

  • Proposals can be drafted faster.

  • Insights can be uncovered in mountains of data.

  • Outreach can be tailored so it resonates with each individual client.

That’s the promise of AI: not less humanity, but more efficiency and greater impact.

The best part? You don’t need to be a technologist to benefit. What you do need is curiosity, a willingness to experiment, and a guide who can translate “tech speak” into practical, real-world strategies.

Why I’m Sharing This

I didn’t start following AI trends because I wanted to reinvent myself as a technologist. I did it because I believe professional services marketing can’t afford to sit this one out.

The tools may be new, but the questions we’re all asking are timeless:

  • How do we build stronger relationships?

  • How do we stand out?

  • How do we deliver more value to clients?

That’s what I’ll be exploring here. I’ll share what I’m learning—what’s useful, what’s hype, and how you can apply AI to support (not replace) the expertise you’ve spent years building. I'm also using my platform to encourage others to share their experience and products so we can also learn from each other.

If you’re curious about AI but not sure where to start, you’re in the right place. Together, we’ll figure out how to embrace the change, experiment with confidence, and unlock new opportunities—without losing what makes professional services marketing so human in the first place.

Because the future isn’t about humans or machines—it’s about what we can achieve when we partner with intelligence.

Join the Conversation

I’d love to hear from you.

  • Have a trend you’d like me to explore?

  • Wrestling with a challenge AI might help solve?

  • Already experimenting and want to share lessons learned?

  • Or maybe you’re a provider with a tool that could help professional services marketers?

I consider myself an AI Adventurer, and I hope you’ll join me on this journey.

💡 At Partnered Intelligence, I'm exploring these lessons in real time — using AI tools for content, design, and strategy, while keeping the human layer firmly in place. Some of the AI-generated "easter eggs" (a.k.a mistakes) that you find in my images and posts are left as intentional reminders: the best results happen when machines accelerate and humans elevate.

Outstanding! I too am a huge advocate of AI and I have incorporated it into my daily workflow for the past two years. From writing business proposals, analyzing my budget, and tweaking professional emails, AI is an extraordinary tool!

Thank you for engaging - AI really is a game changer! By taking advantage of these tools for the things you've mentioned, you're freeing up time to focus on those things AI can't do for you. It's a win/win!
